Garland got his widdle feelings hurt when McConnell went past him for SCOTUS. Crying every night into his pillow, Garland has proven just how emotional a little girl he actually is.

1. The title is US Attorneys. Only those and the Attorney General are presidential appointees.
2. The Assistant US Attorneys are not political appointees - are deemed career professionals and are rarely replaced following changes due to political elections.
And we should all remember the silly firestorm that took place after G. W. Bush fired and began to replace a bunch of the US Attorneys when he took office. Lots of political hay over a routine process.
