SC is denying her the ball and staying with her.

They are denying the 3 pointers and forcing Iowa to try to score inside.

This. In addition SC made 4 or 5 threes in the 3rd alone. We only scored 13 against Iowa in the 3rd. A lot of those were uncontested shots.

I noticed the same thing. She looked utterly exhausted after the first quarter.

Nothing left in the tank, physically and mentally.

With 3 minutes to go, I expected Iowa to start fouling. USC could not consistently hit free throws. Put them on the line under pressure. I will not ever understand why that did not occur.
