Perhaps your boss caught on to the fact that you have been 'looking for a while' for another job. That's a sure way to get fired. Perhaps someone snitched on you. IDK.

Folks are fired everyday from their jobs so know that you are not alone. Its happened to me a couple of times.

Regardless, keep your head up and keep digging away.
