I was there when it happened but never understood the love for them.
They were the most over rated band ever.

Blast away but dont care. He was a junkie, what did anyone expect?

I remember thinking not shocking. Its seemed he was destined to die. I think most of us were expecting heroin OD and not a shotgun blast.

It was a sad waste of life. Heroin is horrible. I lost a childhood friend to
drugs, and he was a smart, decent guy.

As far as the music is concerned, it
was revolutionary.. Basic, but emotive.

I remember hearing it on the radio. Then I changed the station for a traffic update because that was more important.
