I used to think that too.. and I used to get so irritated when people would say "both parties are two wings of the same bird," and "uniparty." Then I realized the last few years they were right and I was wrong for thinking there was a difference. I seent what I seent and I can't go back now.

George Carlin was right all along.

I think the OP is saying that the Rs prefer that the Ds be in charge. They both love spending money, but the Ds are honest about it.

If the Ds spend too much, their constituents love them and vote them back into office. If the Rs spend too much, their constituents get angry and try to get them primaried.

So it's just easier for the Rs to let the Ds be in charge so they can dictate the agenda while the Rs scream about it - even though the actually approve and benefit from of most of it.

Either way, our government gets bigger and more powerful...
