The thing about ANGC is the fairways are not flat. It doesnt look like it on TV though. Even with a good drive a player is likely hitting a ball slightly above or below his feet.

Any golfer will tell you that makes it much harder.

There are some scoring holes at Augusta. But players have to be incredibly precise to even get in position.
