Southern boys beat him out? Home sick?

We'll be ok at DE, honestly we need the roster spots at DT (2x) and I think one more CB.

Not too worried about this one. Figure he made it through spring camp, and clearly knows where he stands afterwards. Frees up the staff to continue to evaluate players in the portal - hell we expect to take guys this summer and will welcome them, why badger a guy down the depth chart for bettering himself.

I was thinking he was ready to break out.

Was pumped to see that we could get the best from MN to commit to us.

ETA. But this happens. It’s deep at DE

It's so hard to keep a player from that far away these days.

Where was your outrage when we landed J. Daniels?

So the 18th best DE in 2023 from Minnesota who has never done anything at LSU and is getting passed up on the depth chart decides to transfer. And people are upset? I don't get it. Disappointments like him are a dime a dozen in the transfer portal.

Nb4

We didn’t need him
Never did much anyways
He was too small for his position
Better that _____ will get the reps
We have ______ coming in that’s twice as good

Jamar Cain might be the most overrated recruiter to ever step foot on LSU’s campus

Couldn’t recruit DTs and the DEs and Jacks he recruited have been busts

frick. I had him as my break-out guy on defense. Damn. I guess Womack was ahead of him in the same class and maybe Reliford and/or another freshman may have passed him up too. Swinson was already ahead of him. shite. Oh, well.

A lot of guys here aren't comfortable unless they have something to pout about. So regardless if this is a big issue or not, they want to believe it's as if Nuss left town and took Perk and Campbell with him.

Josh Pate has been saying on his last 2 pod casts that his coaching contacts have been warning him that "chaos is coming with the next portal window". "Some staffs are worried that they may lose entire units. One coach told him that their best defensive player is being held back this Spring as they don't think he'll stay. But he is repeating that he's hearing that this next portal window will be the biggest mess in college football history when it comes to roster turnover.

That’s great news. Bama will get theirs too, but I am confident LSU will win in a chaos scenario.

For those bitching, this is a good aspect of the portal. A guy that hasn't played and likely won't play, can move on somewhere for a better opportunity.

The bad aspect is when someone is playing and having success and leaves.

Howard has shown nothing at LSU for anyone to be upset over this move. Looks like he just got passed up by a freshman. With spring almost over, he obviously has a very accurate view of where he stands in the depth chart, which is low.
