My wife and I are traveling to Mendocino County, California, specifically Elk, CA, for a quiet getaway in late May/early June. I am looking for recommendations on the must-do's while we are there. This is our first time visiting the Golden State. Any help is much appreciated.

Run over to the coast and spend a day in the town of Mendocino. Really nice.
Edit: You’re immediately south of there. Definitely worth the short drive.

There’s a nice state park close by, inland, that has trails through giant redwoods and sequoias…a nice short trip to make.

Travel 1 south to point arena lighthouse. Stream kozt radio for mendocino County news. Fort Bragg a definite go to for food.
