Sounds like my wife but her obstinence is a choice. Hasn’t seen a bill in 15 years. I’ve tried to get her involved. Thankfully she keeps her spending within reason. She loves to cook so her biggest splurge is getting whatever she wants at the grocery. She hyper focuses on our kids and just knows she can get what they need, put gas in her car and shop for what we need.

Ya but you probably treat her well

BIL got a big bonus last spring and told his family they were taking a 3 week trip to Europe.

Of course she goes all out on FB announcing this trip, starts to plan for it... 2 weeks later a brand new Mustang Cobra shows up via delivery. Tells SIL at that moment that they aren't going to Europe.

His reason: "no way I'm paying 15k just for fricking plane tickets".

Kids, both in HS, were totally devastated. She was just casually like "well we didn't realize how expensive it was". I've known her for 20 years (same time me and wifey been together) and it's hard to not feel bad for her.
