That wasn't your point. Your point was if they do not allow the USA to sell them chips that the consumer there will pay more. That's not true.

A large contingent of their models are produced in Mexico and Canada.

.....or Mercedes, Hyundia, Kia, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, etc. My old Toyota Tundra was built in Indiana. The new ones are made in San Antonio. We can get by without China.
