Tenn saw and hit him last year from what I recall.
Hitting him is about timing. He doesn’t have enough velocity to make it meaningful to sit anything but breaking ball.

He needs to be really accurate with the stuff he has. When he misses, it’s a meatball.

Guidry is going the way of matty ott.
Shame. Kid is likely a bust. But i wouldnt trade any of last year, so its a fair tradeoff

Guidry is 100 pounds soaking wet trying to throw to sec hitters. He’s not an sec level pitcher

Turns out 1 pitch, even a very effective one, aint enough to survive in the SEC. Who would have thunk it

Unfortunately, I saw this coming. Nuts > stuff can only work for so long. I knew after the league had seen him for a full year, his 2nd time through would be much more difficult. I still don't think he's this bad, though, and can have a role, but like others have pointed out, he just has zero room for error with what he throws. Nobody has to respect his fastball, and they can just sit off-speed. So, a cutter doesn't cut, a slider hangs, and they get pounded into the bleachers.

I do think his development has been stunted by injury. I think it's kept him from putting on some weight, which would help tremendously. With his frame, he should be able to put on a solid 15-20 pounds. Unfortunately, I don't know that he's healthy enough to put in the work in the gym that that would require. You've got to move heavy weight to gain significant weight, and I think (his back?) injury from high school still lingers a bit and moving that kind of weight puts him at significant risk of re-injury.

He didn’t come of the field saying “ All day”.

Guidry was a bit of a mirage last season. He gave up 3 home runs in Omaha.

Guidry should be a short stop. I like his attitude as a closer, but I am not sure his stuff is nasty enough to match the confidence.

Guidry is a bust. Can’t hit so he’ll never see the field. Helped us in big moments a little last year but the book is out on him.

He throws meatballs and people are taking him yard. Wasted roster spot.

He threw 5 straight sliders to Moore, with Moore fouling off 4 before he adjusted his timing. The 6th straight went straight out of that cat litter of a sandbox UT calls a ball field
