Because you strongly implied that the issue was the leverage she was exerting given her position. That is what you said "was that simple. And yes, it should be illegal."
It’s not an implication. It’s a fact.

It's because she had sex with the guy.
In her position as a teacher in his school, yes.

Then we can get back to what about that in this case warrants prison time.
She knowingly violated a criminal statue against teachers fricking students. Again—very simple.

O.k., if you're going to be that kind of idiot, then please stop wasting my time.
I have said from the beginning that I'm not arguing that what she did was legal. Everybody knows that. I'm questioning whether it should be punishable by prison time.
You acted like you understood that until I exposed the faulty logic in your reasoning, now you're pivoting back to (in the voice of an insufferable nerd) "She should go to prison because it's the law...very simple."
I'll give you one more chance and then I'm ignoring you if you can't be honest:
Was the reason you think she deserved prison time because she had sex with a 17 year old, or because she engaged in a relationship with a student that could involve a conflict of interest due to a power differential?
If you are going to say some version of, "She deserved prison because she knowingly broke the law," please don't bother.
