Women are carrying LSU sports right now!

Thank goodness for women sports. With the exception of football, the LSU women are showing out and clearly carrying the banner for LSU sports. The baseball team is collapsing right before our eyes and the men's basketball team is still trying to recover from the WW debacle.
Who would have ever thought that LSU women sports would be the talk of the town, but that appears to be the case. The gymnastics and softball team are knocking it out of the park and the basketball team just made it to the Elite 8. Oh yeah, last night Reese was drafted in the first round of the WNBA draft, going No. 7 to the Chicago Sky.
I know many of you do not like women sports, but I enjoy it because, like it or not, these girls are extremely talented athletes and fun to watch. When is the last time you could name the starting five on the women's team, know the name of their head coach and her coaching history. In gymnastics, the team is now attracting sell out crowds because of their success. Away from the mat, gymnastics Livvy Dunne is also currently the highest paid female athlete based on NIL deals. In softball, coach Torina is doing her best coaching job and has the Lady Tigers sitting at No. 6 in the country.
While the men may be struggling, it's still a great time to be a Tiger!
Let's hope the men's teams can get their teams turned around and back into contention for conference and national titles!

Not me. But good for you. That’s quite an accomplishment

What an ignorant take.

LSU men’s track and field is #3 and LSU men’s beach volleyball is #8

The women’s sports programs at LSU are superior to any other programs in the country with the only competition being OU. Just need to start producing championships.

We've had a Heisman winner and a baseball national championship within the past year. Pretty sure every other school's fan base would be thrilled if THAT was considered disappointing for the men's programs (except maybe by Alabama fans until they get a few seasons to bring their expectations back down to earth post-Saban).
Pretty sure LSU women's basketball, softball, gymnastics, and track teams have all been highly ranked nationally on a consistent basis for just about all of my adult life. So its not like the LSU women having success is something new.

Except in the most important area, money.

LOL which women's team does your kid play on? That's the only way you could think a dumbass take like this is relevant.

As an LSU sports fan, I celebrate everything Tigers. Don’t mistake recency bias success with the overall impact of all the traditional popular winning LSU sports teams.

Yeah, when Jay Johnson was hoisting the National Championship trophy, I was thinking “thank god for LSU women sports”.
When Jayden was accepting the 3rd Heisman in our school’s history, I was thinking “thank God for Angel Reese”.
When, for the first time in history of the sport, #1 and #2 overall MLB picks were both from the same school, LSU, I was thinking “if it weren’t for our women sports would people know LSU exists?”

Just my opinion but I think this football team is going to be a 3 or 4 loss team mainly because of defense again. They looked really bad in the spring game with the same problems as last year. I think offense will be solid but I don't think it will be anywhere near last year's level. That combined with a brutal schedule has a very high probability of them missing playoffs this year. Only positive unexpected on the schedule I see is Bama is vulnerable now moving forward.
