These are not hard criminals. Just loud and annoying crooks that don’t want to be disrespected. So pretty tame show.

Well, that’s prob the only way it works. I think the goal is to teach responsibility and community to those ‘beginner’ criminals before they become institutionalized and repeat offenders, and most importantly a drain on society.

The problem with county is there are some hardcore criminals that haven’t been convicted yet stuck with lighthearted dudes.

One of them was in there for capital murder and others for armed robbery. The littlest one in there said he stabbed a kid at 8 years old and has "kept stabbing motha frickers since".

Most of them were just drug charges but they weren't in there just for simple misunderstandings.

Some of those guys had/have pretty serious chargers. I’ve unfortunately been the guest of a Parish Prison in SE Louisiana for 3 days and that County Prison in Arkansas looked a hell of a lot better than the one I was in down here, even before the privileges started on the show. There wasn’t any 23/1 down here, the cell doors didn’t shut, at least 10 people on the floor in the common are because of overcrowding. Everything about the jail on Netflix was better than what I experienced for 3 days. It’s jail, it should suck but I think one of the Parish Prisons in Louisiana would have made a better show.
