I never said she wasn't successful. There are lots of ultra successful pop stars. BTS is HUGE, but their music is like nails on a chalkboard for me. I have to find them interesting because they are popular?

No it isn't. You are comparing professional athletes whose measure of greatness is objective (winning) vs professional entertainers who's measure of greatness is much more subjective. If Taylor Swift makes more money than The Beatles did as a band, does that make her more interesting than the Beatles? There's no way you will get unanimous agreement that she is.
