My understanding was Skip used to target Tax Day as the day to settle on a lineup.

So having seen what I've seen here's mine (hope CJJ is listening):

Bingham
Milam
White
Trav
Larson
Bear
Pearson / Kling
Braswell
Neal / Milazzo

I would platoon Neal/Milazzo and Pearson/Kling depending on RHP/LHP. IMO, there is not much game changing difference among them at the plate or in the field that I've seen.

There may be some slight tweaks but this is my approach.

There's only 1 player who has earned the right to stay in the lineup every day

Bear hitting 6 hole? Don’t know if I’ve ever seen the team leader in RBI and HR hitting 6th

I really don’t want to see anyone playing catcher other than Milazzo at this point. The fact that he has seen the field so little is astonishing

I don't disagree but that's also pretty much exactly what they're already doing. The problem is that everything has been tried to this point and nothing has worked significantly. Kling, Neal, and Hurd gotta get hot. It's really that simple.

Kling has hit better than Pearson in the last three SEC series. There is no comparison in their defense. Kling is the best CF we have and it's not close.

I really wish either of them could be a reliable bat. Travinski is a serviceable catcher who could open up the DH spot if we had one, but we don't. If Travinski catches, Pearson is the best DH option. If Travinski is DH, then you have to rely on Milazzo's bat. He's better defensively than Trav back there, but it's obvious that JJ doesn't trust him at the plate.

SEC BA (min. 15 ABs)
Larson .345
Braswell .333
White .302
Travinski .296
Bingham .254
Jones. 250
Pearson .229
Milam .224
Frey .182
Kling .120
Neal .097

Still think we need Kling’s defense.

I honestly really want Neal to hit the portal.
