She's probably telling her friends how much of an idiot her neighbor is for emptying his vacuum into his garbage can rather than a bag.

I'm glad I have good neighbors.
One of them is a state trooper and not that bright but a good guy. I had put a deer carcass in my freezer (wrapped in garbage bags) to wait on trash day. I was stuffing it in the trash can at 5 am and he walked over and asked "is that your wife?"
I said no. He said good, I don't feel like doing paperwork right now. Cracked me up.

What sort of vacuum could be mistaken for a gun?
What, in her mind, would you’ve been emptying from your “gun”? Did she think you were unloading it into your garbage can?!? How does that make sense to her?
