I wouldn't say any group is the most of any trait.
The nation of Israel was formed by Zionists who followed long-term plans and populated by survivors of the Holocaust. Quite a potent combination.

It's a nation founded by intellectuals for the most part going back to 1897 and the Zionist Conference where the strategy was hatched. Guys like Weitzmann and Herzel were super educated men and most of the attendees were very educated types same with Ben Gurion and Jabotinsky.
Centuries of discrimination and pogroms made them have to be smarter than the majority populations just to survive.
