I've tried it before with a few crappie fillets and it was serviceable for a Po Boy, but subpar from actual deep frying.
AF's are good for small batch frozen products like chicken wings, chicken tenders, frozen french fries and tater tots, and things of that nature. Much faster than the conventional oven, comes out crispy, don't have to break out all the oil. As someone else said, great with Gordon's fish sticks too.
I'll never put a fresh fish fillet in an air fryer ever again.
