Are the transmissions from ankle monitors encrypted or even remotely secure?
A former POTUS is just a private citizen, and he is subject to judicial process just like you or me ... or at least he SHOULD be. Secret Service is tasked with preventing crazy people from killing him, but I would be VERY surprised if their statutory authority extends to "interfering with state-level judicial orders."
Take an extreme example.
A grand jury in (for example) Missouri indicts Billy Jeff for some felony, and he decides that he DOES NOT want to surrender to the arresting deputies. Is Secret Service obligated (or even AUTHORIZED) to prevent officers of the State of Missouri from arresting him? Do they engage in a firefight to prevent it?
I suspect that nothing in their charter would authorize that sort of action. If we start from that premise, how would they be justified in preventing a state judge from ordering the use of an ankle monitor in enforcing a criminal contempt ruling?

I wasn't suggesting they would interfere. In fact I believe they would be bound to uphold it and limit his movements/monitor etc.

Absolutely no to either of those things. In fact, its the opposite I believe. They would cooperate fully and completely with a lawful court order or warrant. They'll be going with him, but the SS isn't going to prevent his arrest, etc.

I don't think the SS would prevent it. I don't think a judge would bother with a monitor, as the SS would practically ensure that Trump never violated any sort of court order restricting his movements.
