The invert used to irk me, but ever since I started ordering my ties to custom lengths, it became a non issue as it only goes a few inches past the keeper. I used to tie a half Windsor, but I’ve moved almost exclusively to grenadine ties over the last few years, which tie a bit thicker, so I stay to the thinner knots now, as it basically ties like a half Windsor.
