Bringing facts into an argument is useless.

That's with anyone. Here, reddit, instagram, you can have all the facts with sources, but if it doesn't line up with someone's preconceived bias, they'll downvote. People would rather be ignorantly incorrect out of ego than change their mind and admit they are wrong. I had a comment the other day here on a post about how everyone here think's US is going to shite, I list all this data with sources about how we have 60 of world top 100 unis, 4 of 5 top global hospital chains, Nasdaq and NYSE own 60% of all world global market cap, violent and total crime is down 50% since 80s and early 90s, we have over 4x nobel prize winners as next closest country, how we're at forefront of AI, invented practically every major invention of past 50 years and several other pieces that show that the US is doing fine.

All verifiable data. Didn't matter. Didn't line up with the boomers preconceived bias, so it was downvoted. People would rather be ignorantly dumb out of ego than admit they are wrong.

Again, a downvote right off the bat Proof in the pudding. People are dumb.
