Big Mike’s in Denham was on it IIRC. Maybe after the flood?

Many of the bars that participate are either no longer open or worse off than when they started.

From what I’ve read, BR comes in and spruces the place up and patches holes only to the point of getting it to look good on TV.

They don’t really teach the managers how to run a proper bar, nor the employees how to do anything other than make a new drink and a couple of good items.

The rest is all drama created by the writers and several bar owners were told to act like assholes to their staff, even if they were incredibly nice people. You can tell who is actually faking it on the show if you pay attention.

Once Taffer and his crew leaves, the bar staff goes right back to the way they ran things prior. So if they were unsuccessful before the show, they don’t improve much after.

The only reason most owners agree to the show is for a little fame, a (somewhat) upgraded look, and a boost in clientele for a few months.

Most have the same problems as before and close up shop soon after.

To be fair it was never up on a hill to begin with.
