No. If you've ever studied Russian military history, you'd know that they absolutely suck at warfare. Always have. Every technological peer that they've ever faced in battle has put wildly disproportionate casualties on them. Russia usually wins, but it's only due to sheer numbers. Due to their demography, they no longer have meat waves to throw at their enemies like they used to.

Yeah, Russia has also had a million people leave the country and about half of those were young men avoiding the draft. They're getting short of laborers. I don't think Putin wanted or expected a 3 year long war. It's not good economics.

You state "no longer having meat" but forget that UKR has even worse demographics article. Ukraine is dealing with an even worse situation amongst its fight population than Russia.
