This Forum knows that it's all about a Globalist Government, Fascist version. Many have read the Essay on Transnational Progressivism, a sophisticated and idealistic political ideology which seeks to move Humanity from a "production and consumption" paradigm to the DEI version. They seek this via an impetus from the reasoning that given the ominous potential of high tech warfare and the calamitous consequence therein. that is inevitably suicidal if we continue with the traditional warfare based on religion, culture, economics (consumption and production and the competition for relative affluence therein. And given that, the TP Elites believe that unrestricted Fascism (Fascism defined as State control of everything) and the "whatever it takes" MO is indeed justified.

When this scenario is tied into the Biblical Eschatological "End Times" narrative, well, the 'coincidental' aspect of the current scenario with Biblical prophetic narratives pretty much nails it down, for Believers.

I don't think that Trump came anywhere close to even caring about the above scenario, or much less understanding it, when he first ran. He loved Capitalism and this Nation's Constitutional Republic which allowed and protected it. I think he has been 'educated' since, and now realizes that he's in what is a 'Religious' war, or soon will be, and he's in for keeps. And the 'religion' that will soon challenge all others is Secular Transnational Progressivism, that will be aided by extraordinary AI and other high tech powers. I don't think any honest person can refute the logic above, albeit the worldly logic that is the basis for TP is an idealist version, and as such, the 'herding cats' via 'cancel culture' has little hope of success. When the TPs realize this, that's when they really step up the herding cats game to meet any and all resistance.

I don't think there is either the common sense logic or the will to stop what is coming, Bass, once we on the edge of the cliff. It's like the Titanic re the mass and momentum dynamics, we have to try, even knowing we are going to take the hit. I am far from fatalistic or pessimistic, but more inclined toward a version of 'romantic' realism, based on love. And it certainly isn't about Trump...it's about Humanity and Jesus Christ, the Power appointed to "save" us from our own flawed nature.
