I don’t know what team you’ve been watching but this one will likely NEED Herring in order to win fri or Sat.

I’ve been watching all year. This team has not won a single series except for the one in which Herring did not pitch until Sunday. We have to win literally every series from here on out if we want to have a chance at making the postseason. The only reason i would pitch Herring before Sunday would be if we had already won game 1 and are up at the end of game 2 and need to close it out.

We won the series because Herring didn't HAVE to pitch until Sunday.

We had 3 SEC wins heading into this weekend. Guess who got the win or save in all 3 wins? Until this weekend, we've lost every SEC game he didn't pitch.

This weekend, Jump pitched a 7 inning complete game to break the streak...and then Herring delivered another win.

So, if you had a 1 run lead in the 7th on Fri, who are you turning it over to?

And, if you lost that game, and find yourself with a 1 run lead in the 7th on Saturday, who are you turning it over to?

Any idea what our bullpen ERA is in the SEC for guys not named Herring?
