I wonder when he'll finally say screw it and go for what he can actually clear in a meet. Right now its more lucrative with his contract structure to break the WR incrementally frequently then setting it at something untouchable, but i imagine at some point he'll want it to be something thats hard/impossible to get to leave his mark on the sport.

As long as Sweden keeps giving him a 6 figure bonus for breaking the world record, he's going to keep breaking it by centimeters each time.

It seems like we see this headline almost every few months, and it looked like he could have cleared by a large margin.

What is the usual "peak" of a pole vaulter, because Mondo seems to still be ascending.
