The problem with this email is that it disregards the notion of being well-rounded. Sure, athletes don’t need to know physics, but somewhere out there is an athlete who also knows physics, and an artist who understands math, and an entrepreneur who loves literature. And guess what? Kids who are only good at one thing… have to compete with well-rounded people like this in the real world. People who can do the things that kid does best… AND other stuff too. Those people are out there.
I don’t understand the desire of so many to only be educated at the one thing they are going to make money at… and nothing else.
