Sit in a room of travel ball parents and you won't think this way for long. Of course HS sports should matter more than club sports but these people don't care about the team just their kid.

If you as travel ball parents and their kids what is more important, getting an offer to a D3 in Arkansas or winning a district championship, the answer is getting the offer. It is all that matters. Sadly winning and losing don't matter either. Parents are crazy.

There are instances where the travel coach has more influence over the kid than the high school coach. Because the travel ball coach teaches things a different way than the high school coach does.

Even if that travel ball coach works at a different school.

I get it, and I believe it. But I also understand this, the district championship won’t pay for a dime of college. All parents should be trying to if their kid wants it, get them in college playing ball. If that means transferring or doing something contradictory to the program, it sucks and isn’t the right thing, but I get it.
