I mean maybe.
There’s probably a good stretch of play in there somewhere and the rest of the division sucks so theoretically they are alive but there’s been not a glimmer of anything that says they are capable of playing a stretch of 15-5 baseball over 20 games. AND that’s going to have to happen within the next month and a half
And I’m not really panicking. My eyes and the numbers are telling me what this team is. Hopefully it changes but very unlikely

The numbers say we are the 6th or 7th best hitting team in baseball. Hell we are 4th in wRC+
(runs created adjusted for external factors)
Pitching has been horrible and we've had some bad luck to not be scoring more
