Because Memphis can only do so much.

And outside of the major population centers, things in rural Tennessee get real methy.

Memphis and Nashville combined metro areas are almost 3.5 million people. That’s almost the population for the entire state of LA.

Memphis really doesn’t produce many good football players and really haven’t since Melrose High and the rest of the inner city football programs went to shite. With the size and demographics you’d think it would, but it doesn’t

There are reasons, many due to trickle down effects of other issues the city continues to mismanage and make worse
