Who cares about the importance of the regular season. Why are people worried about this, it’s not going to be an issue. Y’all going to suddenly care less about beating LSU, Auburn, and Tennessee?

Just give us a serious way to determine a champion for once in this stupid sports history.

I'm still not seeing the "problems".

Rematches are only OK if the blue blood lost the first game.

I’m looking forward to a Michigan Ohio State game, followed by a Michigan Ohio State Big Ten Championship, followed by a Michigan Ohio State first round.

Yeah, that’s fine.
For me, it's not. College football was better when every game mattered and the 1 team that made it through the gauntlet got to play the best team outside the SEC.

Teams playing potentially 4 neutral site games in the row is a bigger problem.

EXACTLY. And the reason the NFL type playoff bracket works so well is that neutral site games (until the Super Bowl) do not exist. The NCAA doing semi final games at neutral games in a 12 team playoff is laughable. Doing it in the quarters makes me think they are retarded.

Take the 4 conf champions, seed them 1-4 based on their resume.
Oklahoma State will not deserve a bye over SEC and B10 teams most years. No thanks

Tickets will be cheaper then, and then fans will make the drive.

Meh, obviously not the best way to determine who the best team is

The best thing about a 12 team playoff is that we are now arguing about who gets a bye instead of who gets in.

BCS was the best option. Everything else is stupid. Bowls use to be so cool, now they’re ruined for this playoff clown show.

Easy solution: eliminate conference championship games.

With to move away from divisions, Conference Championship Games don't even make that much sense anymore, except as a TV ad revenue money grab.

Give the automatic bid to the Regular Season Conference Champion. Eliminate cupcake OOC opponents and add another conference game, so there is larger sample size and less likelihood of there being a tie for Regular Season Champion.

The rematches was becoming an occurrence with a 4 team playoff. It's unavoidable at that point with 12.

They were just tired of undefeated teams being locked out, split titles, and mulligans.

All of this is part of what made college football different. Now we have what we have. I hope all the crybabies are satisfied.

Actually I think the system pre-BCS with just a plus one would have been the best option.

Why are we acting like rematches in the first round are a bad thing?

Because this board has turned into a bunch of whiny old women.

The neutral site games for the quarterfinals are the worst to me. It sucks that you could finish a top 4 seed and not get a home playoff game while the 5-8 teams do. I know you get a bye instead but they should have at least left the quarters on campus.

Agree 100%.

I wish they would quit worrying about keeping the traditional bowls happy.

1st 2 rounds should be on college campuses with final 4 handled as it has been under the previous 4 team college playoff.

If it were up to me, the only neutral site game in the playoff would be the championship game.
