People forget this or did not know. We default to South America for escaped NAZI's. However, my understanding is that a lot of them also went to Turkey, Egypt, etc. We all know Iran is from Aryan. Iraq had soldiers in the SS. The Mufti of Jerusalem was a vocal supporter of NAZI's.

Understanding the conflict there going back to Biblical times, it makes sense.
