This will all end when the senior university boards of trustees start directing chancellors to be the adults in the room. You can't give inches to these people. Protests are allowed in public areas provided access and university operations are not impeded. If you want to protest in the street, you need a permit. Vandalism, violence, intimidation, and trespassing will not be tolerated, especially at a private school.

Here, coordinate with NYPD. Give the protesters 15 minutes to vacate the building. No negotiation, no debate, just a clear statement. When time is up have NYPD and university police secure and clear the building. Everyone inside is booked and prosecuted to the full e tent of the law. University students are expelled. All are permanently barred from campus. One schools does it, voids their degrees and work, and the n3xt bunch will think twice.
