Wrong board but...
They are really refugees. In a war torn country with risk of injury and death. As much as I hate to say it, they are the most classical example of refugees.
Not a fan of doing it, but they are more deserving than what we take in at the Southern Border.

Interesting, that's the same excuse that their government (Hamas) uses to justify not providing for or taking care of them.
Seriously, Hamas's stance has been that since all Palestinians are technically "refugees" then the responsibility for their care falls on the UN and other organizations.
I'm sorry, it sucks, but we literally don't have the money. Not that that will stop us, mind you.

Half of the continent of Africa is at war with someone. Want to accept them as well?
I don’t give a damn about Africans, Palestinians, or whatever that mishmash of Hispanics, Chinese, Muslims, and God knows who else is streaming across our Southern border.

How many should we take?
All of them?
How can we verify who these people are?
What other refugees should we be taking?
Why the frick is the US always expected to take the people no one else wants to take?
