I miss the days when Murray Hawkins oversaw the department of petroleum engineering. He and Dr Ben Craft essentially built the LSU petroleum engineering department from the ground up and it turned out some exceptional engineers.

thats why the petroleum engineering department is named after them

Buddy Hawkins was a great man. I had the privilege of being his neighbor for 20 years.
