It's time to clamp down on these "protestors." Sure, they have a right to peaceably assemble and to address the government for redress of grievances. The idea that "protests" such as this are protected by the 1st Amendment doesn't necessarily hold water.

"Protesting" and disrupting a non-government entity (private business) on said entity's property or impeding the flow of traffic into and out of that property is NOT protected speech as it does not approach government to redress whatever issues the participants support or abhor.

"Protests" and demonstrations at universities which disrupt classes and create a general nuisance on campus are not protested speech, being that the protesters are not seeking redress from those who pass/enact legislation, but rather they are assaulting those who have no say in either congress or the legislatures of the respective states. A university is a place of learning, it is not the legislative body of any part of our federal or state governments.

"Protests" that block roads and highways are not peaceful protests in that they obstruct the flow of traffic and create hazardous conditions to everyone involved, whether protestor, anti-protestor, or bystander.

It's time to remove these tantrum-throwing, infantile, self-absorbed asses from their rowdy, rambunctious, and shriek-filled gatherings and let them sit in the nice, air conditioned cells at the county or parish detention center until such time as they are arraigned and can make bail or bond. Then hold their trials with juries constituted of the very people whose peaceful daily lives they interrupted.

Sheesh! LBJ's legacy of molly-coddling the damned hippies has grown out of control.
