Don't know whether this would be travel or music board but I'm putting it here. Anybody been to a concert there? I've been to the venue but not a show. Going to see Whiskey Meyers in June and have reserved seats. Staying in Littleton, approximately nine miles away. It says show starts at 6:30 p.m. What is the parking situation? About what time to arrive? I know there will be a massive amount of "smoke" in the air since it is Colorado. Any other "helpful' suggestions?

get there early so you don't have to park at the bottom parking lot, the walk to the stadium is like a 60 degree angle the whole way up.
always a lot of pot smoking.

I just went a few weekends ago for the first time. I'll bullet list some stuff I learned.
- The park is opened all day during an event.
- 2:30 they kick everyone out of the amphitheater and all cars parked at the very top lot (small)
- The other lots are OK to park in before that time. I did not pay to park when we entered. Not sure if it was just because we were early.
- They "open' the event parking 2 hours before doors. We were parked in the upper north lot earlier in the day and did not have to move. Not sure what this really meant.
- Merch was bonkers and we were GA so we go there early. There were people lined up at 10am to get limited edition posters etc (Sessanta 2nd Night)
- Bring a rain jacket just incase of rain. Lightning and extreme wind seems to be the only reasons they will cancel. It dumped cold rain on us off and on all afternoon and night.

quote:typically, those are in the lower part of the stands, closer to the stage. so...you have two options
have reserved seats
option 1: park in the south lot, climb UP to get to the amphitheater, and then DOWN to get back to your car
option 2: park in the north lot (get there early), walk DOWN to your seats, and then UP to get out and to your car
the climb is pretty much the same either way, depending on how low in the bowl your seats are

I travel every year in June to see Brit Floyd. Its always sold out. Be early and you will have no problems. I enjoy all seat locations. I drink throughout concert. There are restroom at the top and bottom of venue. I have had no problems with either. Take in views and enjoy the show.

If you have time, I suggest driving around before you check into hotel. It’s a really neat park with to see. It’s also a great way to get your bearings to know which lot you want to park in and the best route back to hotel to avoid the traffic.
I believe it is the upper south lot we park in. We get there early and tailgate. Bring your beverage of choice and some snacks. There will be many folks to make friends and catch a buzz with before the gates open.
Since you have a seat number, you won’t have to worry about lining up. Just enjoy the time and maybe check out the merch stands.

Just saw A Perfect Circle/ Puscifer there 2 weeks ago. IF the top lots are filled up, park on road where I have circled to the right, and when you drive up it, turn around and face North. That way you're facing the correct way to leave easily. It's a good spot and a short walk to the Amphitheater.
And you don't have to fight the parking lot traffic to exit a parking lot.

Yes, I attended a concert there in 2012. Awesome venue! Parking was a decent hike, but I think there was plentiful parking.

We saw the Avetts 2 years ago there. Got to the venue about 90 minutes early and tailgated in the south lot. We only had beer and wine, but lots of locals ate grab and go meals. I dont recall anyone cooking.
We stayed in Lakewood which was a 15 or 20 min drive.
