I also think OKC strategy has been to lock down Luka and let PJ fire away. And PJ was horrible at 3’s so Doug likely thinks he’ll stop making them but he’s not.
HC has not done well in making adjustments. They are ahead of schedule and will have regrets how they played this series. Should have benched Giddey after game 2, had him come off bench. Mavs exploited and out-coached OKC which is amazing because I don’t think Mavs coach is that good.

I agree, but 1 small mishap is all it takes for OKC to get right back in the series.

PJ is the biggest reason the Mavs have looked so good overall as a team these last 3 games.

As a Mavs fan it warmed my heart to see Giddey get the start again in Game 4. No way Thunder fans are happy about this.
I don’t think Kidd is the best coach in the world, but he’s 2 wins away from WCF appearances in 2 of his first 3 seasons with the Mavs.

In the 4th, one of two things has to happen or Dallas will not win...
1. Luka has to be better. 4/15 with 6 turnovers is shite. Hurt or not. He can't play this poorly.
2. Kyrie has to quit being the "point guard" and get aggressive and score.
Green/Hardaway/Jones aren't scoring the ball. Exum didn't play entire 3rd quarter. Lively not scoring. Gotta find the points somewhere. It can't be a kick to PJ every single time.

True. And ironically it was OKC that helped facilitate that mid season trade. That is the difference in Mavs. Prior to that they were flailing. Those 2 players made such a difference.
Meanwhile, OKC was in a catch 22. Doing great so why make big moves. He didn’t want to disrupt the team concept they had. And its hard to blame him. But this series is helpful to show Presti what he needs going forward. PG13 would be a perfect fit imo.

JDub is 2-14 and I’ve never seen him play as bad all season. He’s normally clutch especially in 4th qtr. bad shots and decisions

It’s not one sided officiating. Refs kept OKC in the first half, but definitely feel like Dallas has gotten the better whistle in the second half.
