Hmmm….we are buying players with NIL, but I think he’s saying that he’s being selective, cause I can only imaging what Underwood’s NIL offer was..

The number 1 player and top QB in a class is worth top dollar. A transfer defensive tackle is not, regardless of his stats.

Seriously.
You don't get the #1 QB and #1 overall player in the country, who resides 1,000 miles away from your school, without offering a substantial NIL package that is just as good if not even slightly better than his other top offers. It was most likely many millions of dollars.
So we are absolutely buying players....because we have to. BK will never get his championship if he doesn't play the NIL game (and at a very high level).
Our NIL collective and recruiting capital may just be allocated more heavily into HS recruits as opposed to transfers. I don't know what the deal is with us missing out on these transfers, but we could just be prioritizing our resources on high school players.
