1980’s Saturday cartoons were great while waiting for your parents to wake up but I think after school cartoons were better quality.

What was great about that era was that when we outgrew Saturday morning cartoons, Saved by the Bell and American Gladiators moved in to pick up the slack.

Teen Kelly Kapowski followed by Nitro and Zap dominating the arena was a solid transition from childhood to high school.
