Mamere is for grandmother. Can't find for grandfather? Any ideas?

It’s not technically Cajun but I know a bunch of people from Morgan City and that general area and a lot of them call their Grandfather Big Daddy.

Interesting. So I looked it up in my copy of “A Dictionary of the Cajun Language” and it seems for “granddad” the term would be “grand-pere” or “pepere”.

Make sure it’s pronounceable … I went with Papi’ (Pah-pee).
