From an outsider's perspective, I'm surprised the saints super bowl isn't the overwhelming response.

Yeah, even without the Lions' pathetic history, this wouldn't be close in Michigan due to the Michigan/MSU split. It would be Lions by far. I guess I could see how it might be flipped in Louisiana if the state as a whole is more unified by LSU.
