This is such a lazy, ignorant, and bitter take. All of these Clark haters are all the same.
They need to just come out and admit that they’re mad and jealous that a straight, white girl drew attention to a sport that it has never seen before (and she isn’t the first white female to ever play college basketball like they’re trying to make it sound, like she just walked in and was handed everything).
Caitlin Clark has earned everything she’s getting because she actually draws attention and money. No one (outside of the dozens of WNBA fans) knew who the hell A’ja was until a few weeks ago. If anything, A’ja should thank Caitlin for getting her a pity shoe deal.

Or maybe this once-great nation needs to quit making everything about race and just support her for being good at what she does.

I knew who she was because I watch both women's and men's CBB. She's arguably the best player in the WNBA next to Breanna Stewart; who also has a shoe deal.
People don't know this but during the tenure of the WNBA, there were a number of players white and black that have had signature shoes from Sheryl Swoopes to Rebecca Lobo.
A'ja didn't have a signature shoe, despite her success but was a paid Nike athlete.
Of course Nike would give Clark a mega shoe deal. She moves the needle more than Wilson. But Wilson has won two WNBA championships and 2 MVP,s and has done a lot for the game.
