Culture wise, yes they are.

That's the whole point of people on the left being so stupid as to side with Hamas. That's why. That's why even though Hamas is clearly the terrorist aggressor who oppresses it's own people and continues to cause problems in the Middle East and why even though they are one of the most misogynistic, anti-LGBTQ human rights violators on the planet, leftists are still supporting them.

Because they see Israel as being part of the West, which to them means they are automatically "colonizers/oppressors."

Idiots on the right side with Hamas because they hate the fact that some people support Israel for religious reasons OR they listen to people like Huckster Carlson who tells them that the reason the US is insolvent is because we spend 3% of 1% of our federal budget on Israel.
