How stupid would you look if you just accept pick 17 this draft and then LeBron leaves and the Lakers suck next season? No one is going to blame you if you defer the pick and it ends up being pick 25 next season.
Yeah, I'm changing my mind. The more I think about it, the more I realize that any BI trade likely gets done on draft night, and we have to decide on the Lakers pick way before that. So, we'll probably defer, although it is possible that a BI deal happens before June 1st and includes that pick.
