Why do businesses with public bathrooms mount the toilet paper dispensers at ankle height? Who the hell wants to do toe touches to get shite napkins that have likely been on the piss covered floor already?

The real issue is the tp rolls never fit the dispensers so they're always getting stuck and the thin arse paper rips before you can pull out a proper amount.

My favorite is when they mount the urinals at chest height. Great if you have a boner but otherwise pretty inconvenient.
I also love in the big box store where they leave about an inch and a half space between the water faucet and the sink basin.

No joke. One day this past week, I found myself with the unusual mid-day need for the facilities in a public restroom.
The toilet paper dispenser was low. It seems to me that it needs to be well above the handicap bars, not below them.

Blame it on the architect. The HC stall will always have the toilet paper at a decent height (minimum 16" from the floor to the bottom of the dispenser), but sometimes the architect gets goofy and places toilet accessories at really f'd up heights on the elevation drawings.
Don't blame it on the business unless it's one of those run down Indian gas station restrooms that hasn't been cleaned since 1978, or a similar business.

I’m reminded of the towels in gas stations that would dispense and wind up. It was like one long towel, and when you rolled it, it ‘wound up’ the dirty part, and ‘unwound’ some clean.
When you got to the end, it was just dirty until they changed the roll. Not sure what year they stopped using this. Get off my lawn now.
