I moved here 7 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. There’s endless things to do all days of the week. Weekends are always jam packed. Great for families and single folks. Only a prude or a miserable human would think this place is a bore or a horrible place to live.

I think you missed the point. It’s bland. But some people like that. The Truman show was a nice place to live as well. It’s just bizarre to me. I grew up on the east coast which has its own suburban growth but somehow it feels more broken up. DFW is this perfect storm that makes it feel much different and somehow just miles and miles of sameness.

ETA: not even necessarily saying it’s a bad place to live. More so commenting. I live in a small 30k person town in the mountains now so obviously the difference is just that more stark.

I lived in both Dallas and Atlanta - the two "Metros" are so similar to me as far as Entertainment, Sports, Restaurants, Nightlife, etc etc etc

Dallas was great but I still give the edge to Atlanta. But, if I had to move from Atlanta and could pick any place to live outside of Florida, it would be Dallas.

Traffic sucks, just another rat race big city.
With DFW right in the middle it makes travel quite the experience. If you lived near downtown and did not have to travel much it may be nice.

As long as you plan on advance. Failure to plan on DFW activities usually means disappointment.
