Maybe tower damage. Definitely heavy traffic with everyone calling to check on people.
I wondered. The SOS stuff started when our power went out.
Glad to finally get to test our generator, I guess.

Cycle your phone off and turn back on. I was having issues but once I rebooted started working fine.

Is anybody having cellular issues? My phone is going in SOS mode. Data is super intermittent & keeps going out. AT&T in Prairieville/Old Perkins area.
AT&T is known for shitting the bed early.
A simple power outage and they are toast in some areas.
AT&T can be cheap at times. Instead of having generators at tower sites they have cabinets of batteries that power the sites for a day or so. The thought is that they can deploy generators after the storm but after a hurricane event when hours turn into days, those portable generators do not get there fast enough. Or as in this case a bad battery pack could knock off a cell site offline.

I'm sure Blackies was open. Should have pulled over and had a few cold ones.

I was coming to ask the same thing. Just got high wind warning about it.

Just got the the wake low warning on my phone. Apparently a chance of 60 mph gusts for a couple more hours.

I was on the 210 bridge when the line hit. Wind was so strong I was losing traction on the expansion joints.

Got it...
...HIGH WIND WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...A wake low is developing behind the severe weather. A few
wind gusts over 60 mph have already been recorded and this will
spread across the warned area over the next few hours.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana.
* WHEN...Until 11 PM CDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles

tl:dr.
I’ll summarize: AT&T sucks. At everything it touches.
