Baseball - Pre-Season Assumptions vs Reality

We came into this season assuming certain players would carry this team, our assumptions were total wiffs.
1. Hurd came into the season projected as one of the best Friday night guys in the league. He isn't even a Sunday guy at this point.
2. There were reports saying Bingham could be an All-SEC caliber player. He hasn't been in the starting lineup the last few weekends. Currently hitting in the .270s
3. Kling was suppose to be a guy that was going to make the biggest leap from the 23' roster. Sitting in the .220s
4. We assumed we would get the Neal that started in the opening day lineup in 23'. His approach at the plate is terrible.
5. Pearson was going to turn into a seasoned leader, he's still batting in the .230s.
6. Travinski was the senior leader, he has disappeared in the second half of SEC play.
Not trying to attack these players, we just thought we knew what we had them. Unfortunately, we were all way off.
